The first book of poetry issued in America by an American on Jewish themes. Published by Abraham Hart, Jewish publisher and communal leader. "In her preface, the author proclaims 'the very sincere love I bear the faith of my adoption' (she having been born of a Jewish father and a Christian mother)... especially (seen in) her series of twelve poems on 'Female Scriptural Characters.'" - Library of Congress.
