Interior fine, wrappers in excellent condition. Poem in French, published the same year as Ms. Cooper obtained her Ph.D. at the Sorbonne. Under her name on the cover: "Graduée d'Oberlin College, Ohio | Docteur | de l'Université de Paris." Cooper was the fourth African American woman to attain a doctorate in the United States (at the age of 65).  SOLD
