In an elaborate signed binding by Pétrus Ruban (1851-1929) of full olive green crushed morocco. A.e.g. With a central design of theater masks and musical instruments, surrounded by vines, flowers, birds, butterflies and insects tooled and gilded, as well as intricate borders and corners. Richly decorated gilt dentelles and marbled endpapers. Original printed wrappers bound-in. Discoloration to original wrappers. The spine is evenly faded to brownish green. Matching marbled paper slipcase, edged in morocco. A unique copy with original watercolors, in a lovely binding.
